Wow. Must have been involved with a Borderline…. Scroll down to listen to the song. You can hear the poor guys pain come right through the music (which is just lovely and haunting).
Download the song to listen to it here: "Rest In Pieces" by Saliva
"Rest In Pieces"… Saliva
Look at me, my depth perception must be off again
Cause this hurts deeper than I thought it did
It has not healed with time
It just shot down my spine
You look so beautiful tonight
Reminds me how you laid us down
And gently smiled before you destroyed my life
Would you find it in your heart
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces
(let me rest in pieces)
Would you find it in your heart
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces
(let me rest in pieces)
Pieces
<Insturmental>
Look at me, my depth perception must be off again
You got much closer than I thought you did
I am in your reach
You held me in your hands
Would you find it in your heart
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces
(let me rest in pieces)
Would you find it in your heart
To make it go away
And let me rest in pieces
(let me rest in pieces)
<repeat x3>
Would you find it in your heart
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces
(let me rest in pieces)
Would you find it in your heart
(find it in your heart)
And let me rest in pieces
(let me rest in pieces)
I’m a Mensan. I’m also a Libertarian. Apparently, being a Mensan is ‘comorbid’ with being a Libertarian… check out what I just read on Mensa’s SIG List (SIG=special interest group):
"Freed-M: Intelligent Liberty
Mensans tend to be a refreshingly and disproportionately independent, free-thinking, (lower-case) libertarian-leaning bunch. This group is intended as a relatively nonpartisan forum for the intelligent, reasoned discussion of liberty-related issues, and how to pursue an environment of philosophically honest and consistent, practical limited government, and personal liberty."
24’s Chloe, before and after getting involved with Jack Bauer:
BEFORE AFTER

I started watching 24 last year, and found myself bewildered about the character Chloe. She’s one of my favorite characters, but she always comes off as snide and biting.
Well, I finally understand why. Jack Bauer will NOT leave poor Chloe alone. Every 10 minutes, he’s furtively calling her in yet another emergency-induced panic.. and giving her yet another impossible feat to accomplish behind CTU’s back. GEEZ. Talk about pressure! Chloe’s to-do list from Jack the renegade always seems to involve:
1) Breaking into some highly-secure system without getting caught by anyone in her department
2) Having to finagle a way to get on someone else’s system without their knowledge
3) DOING IT NOW! (tough titties if she’s furiously working (under supervision, no less) to attain data that will prevent yet another terrorist from attacking in 48 seconds.
4) Risking termination/imprisonment every time she rolls her eyes and tells Jack "oKAY, I’ll do it!"
The latest? Chloe’s got to hack into the NSA’s system (under the watchful eye of Homeland Security who has taken her key card) to download the "WET list" (my condolences, gentlemen; this is NOT the payroll for Madame Boudoir’s House of Ill-Repute) and send it to Jack. The WET list is only a top-top-over-the-top secret list of all known and suspected international terrorists.
Yes, it’s no wonder Chloe has a permanent scowl on her face.
Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing that you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world,
are the ones who do.
